Our LIGHT experience range invite the joy, playfulness and gratitude into the nature experience. Actively noticing changing light, during a day or a year cycle, opens our nervous system to receiving the gifts of natural phenomena – a gift and a competence with enormous transfer value to our everyday lifestyles. Our offers consist of embodied and mental experiences of immersion in special forms of natural light and our human perception of it.

DAWN

Description

DAWN is a calm quiet hike starting when night is just about to turn to day. We hike towards the light. While walking we witness the darkness and the mood of the night transform into a choir of birds, rays of sunlight breaking through branches, leaves or clouds. DAWN is al about celebratig the many new beginnings we are all given. While we walk towards the early sun rays, we can start to notice how the outer nature and it’s transformations, reflects our inner nature.

Finishing off with a lovely pop-up surprise breakfast snack or full buffet on the beach, in a field, or in one of our gorgeous outdoor venues it a true treat that often stays in your memories for good

Practicalities

We meet in the dark, and brief your group on the experience. We hike a route of 1-5km in total depending on National Park arena.

Wear good hiking shoes and bring weather appropriate clothing. Other than this our guide staff provide you with lights if needed. Please do not bring any torches or other forms of artificial light to the event.

AURORA

Description

AURORA is an amazing, yet rare, experience of seeing the Northern Lights dance across the night sky.

As experienced Arctic tourism professionals we are thrilled that 2024 has shown to be the most active Solar storm year in decades, meaning that even Denmark and the southern parts of the Nordic countries have great possibilities for hunting and viewing Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis.

We set out for the darkest least light polluted places with great visibility spots. We dress up and prepare to stay for a while to enjoy the show.

Our experiences guide staff informs and educates you on the aurora phenomenon, so you know what to look for in the night sky, and as well leave AURORA more knowledgeable.

Practicalities

Be sure to bring your best camera gear. A pole, a stand or even a selfie stick are great tools for an AURORA night experience.

Standing outside during winter may be cold. Be sure to dress weather appropriately – and maybe even bring out one extra woolen sweater or down jacket for the experience.

AURORA is extremely condition and weather dependent. For our AURORA experience you can choose two approaches: either your group is flexible and ready for when the Aurora forecast looks promising, and we set up the experience on demand. Or you pre-book your experience aware of the the possibility of no visible Aurora, but instead an enjoyable outdoor evening under the night sky with great Aurora stories, technical Aurora information, and even photo explanations, so you still leave the AURORA experience a little closer to feeling like an AURORA expert.

SNAP

Description

SNAP is a photo safari all about making time stand still, long enough for us to feel our connection to our surroundings. As we slowly move through the beautiful National Park nature, we spend time noticing all the little details we might normally pass on our fast paced walk through the landscape.

We use smartphones as our cameras, and you are prompted to look for specific things, views or items along our photo safari hike. During a SNAP experience we may focus on the crown pedals of a flower, the fresh raindrops of water, or the light and shadows occurring with clouds blocking the sun on a windy day.

When seeing through your lens, you connect to your motive in a deep and amazing manner. Along with this, you get to notice how weather phenomena affect your perception of landscapes, mood and focal points. Your focus is sharpened and your connection to all the little details nature has to offer is awakened.

Practicalities

Bring your smartphone.

Our guides are skilled in photography and may also assist you with your ordinary digital / analog camera gear, but the instructions in the SNAP experience are given for Apple / Android smartphones only.

Our SNAP hikes are short, but make sure to bring sturdy walking shoes and dress weather appropriate as we may need to sit, stand still or even lie down during our photo safari experience.
